Good style doesn't go out of style and we're going to go ahead and call Delorme's seg from Refresh as relevant to day as it was 3 years ago. Despite missing a lot of the season AD came out swinging during the final few months and quickly amassed a pile of the cleanest, most simple, fluid, and stylish park shots that we've ever seen- no doubles, nothing above a 720, and, well, you get the point. This part could drop in next year's Level 1 flick and still be a crowd pleaser- can't say that about many segments that were shot in 2009! Brought to you by AD's ski sponsor, Fat-ypus skis. Check 'em out at...

Its an annual tradition 3 years running- warm weather, slushy park features, awesome sunsets, and good times in Sun Valley, ID. Gathering our crew in Sun Valley usually signals the end of a long winter and the beginning of Spring, and in Chris Logan, Parker White, Tim McChesney, Adam Delorme, Spencer Milbocker, Niklas Eriksson, Sig Tveit, and uber-rookie Torin Yater-Wallace came well prepared with extra sunscreen. By the time we rolled into town, mid-summer temps (mid 80's, what?!?!), a lot of rain, and what had amounted to below-average snowfall totals over the rest of the season left us scaling back our monster-sized park feature plans and getting creative with what little snow was left. Challenging conditions? Yes, but not something that couldn't be worked around... For a few days prior to our arrival the Snow Park...

Alright- we know what you're saying- how the #@%$ did someone who wasn't even a finalist walk away with the win? Well, first off, Lucas should have been a finalist, but somewhere during the process of selecting a dozen of the top vids from nearly 100 entries some signals got crossed and Lucas got the short end of the stick. Once his vid went live, it was pretty much the unanimous top choice of all the athletes in our crew, and with this year's contest being such a tough one to judge we offered up our input and handed this one over to our riders to make the final call.

There's no doubt that this year's field was the most talented to...

Photos by Tim Lloyd Photography Words by Josh Berman It's no secret that North America stole pretty much all the good wintertime precip from Europe during the winter of 2010-11, and this year they're getting their revenge by racking up massive snowfall totals in a seemingly endless storm cycle marked only by a few blue-sky days here and there, while the winter in the US and Canada, well, leaves something to be desired.

With the tables turned, Wiley Miller, Parker White, and Chris Logan joined me for a three-week cheese/meat/bread-fueled romp across Europe. For those that recall the Champéry segment in Eye Trip, the resorts of Portes Du Soleil include over 200 lifts spread over 14 valleys, and connecting 5.2 million skiable acres (this is an exaggeration, but who's counting?), point is, there's more awesome...

This winter Moscow was blasted by the most expected movie of the year, “After Dark” by Level 1 Productions. The premier was held in the very heart of the city - the “Queen” club, located downtown, by one of the most popular among tourist places - Noviy Arbat.

[nggallery id=34] Russia was waiting for the premier like a child waiting for its Christmas present. The Level 1 crew, during the filming of the Russian segment, had become like a family to the Russian freeski community. Everybody was impatient waiting for the result of the shooting.
The starting time of the premier was 21:00. It was my surprise when I arrived 2 hours early and the club was already filled with people. Everybody was chatting, discussing, and predicting what the Russian segment would be like and the whole movie...

Last January (damn, time flies!) when most of the usual US locations were warm and dry, Kyle Decker packed up the urban kit and headed North across the border with Ahmet Dadali, Mike Hornbeck, and Logan Imlach for what was one of the coldest trips on record for Level 1 - lows in the negative 30s, and highs in the, well, negative teens. Frostbite central! Undeterred by the frigid temps our crew got after it on some man-sized gaps, super tech stair trannys, and a few standard-issue rails and jibs to keep things moving.

Oh, and if you didn't know it yet, Logan Imlach is a bruiser. Check the original writeup on this trip that...

Anyone else have fond memories from growing up, of opening up the little doors on advent calendars and finding all kinds of cool stuff behind 'em? Well, we sure did. The ones with the little pieces of chocolate were always our favorite. Cool tradition, but when you grow up, pieces of candy aren't quite as exciting as they used to be. We've decided to stoke out our fans and customers by putting together our own version of an advent calendar and tossing out all kinds of gear from Level 1 and our sponsors as a little thank you to everyone for all the support. A few little things like T shirts, autographed posters, and DVDs, and a few big things like hoodies, some special limited-edition headphones, and... skis? Yup.

Last year when I hosted a premiere in Prince George, BC for Level 1 Productions’ 11th feature film, Eye Trip, all I was hoping for was to sell enough tickets to break even for the night, and maybe have enough money left over to buy a new pair of bindings. But when I made a last minute decision to donate the profits from the night to a young man, whose name I hardly knew, I had no idea the snowball effect I was about to create.

Shortly after last year’s Eye Trip premiere I took some time to write to Level 1’s Josh Berman to let him know what we had done with the money from the premiere, and being the top notch guy he is, Josh donated Level 1’s portion of...

So, we got our sponsors to kick in some cool prizes and threw together what we consider one of the coolest online pumpkin carving contests we've ever seen. We asked entrants to impress us, inspire us, scare us, make us laugh, cry, or otherwise show us something that deserved a share of over $1k worth of prizes. When all was said and done, we received over 60 entries from around the world, or, at least North America, and there were plenty of top-notch entries to...

We scooped the pix and words from this story from Newschoolers.com

Last October Level 1 Productions premiered “Eye Trip” in Prince George, BC. At the premiere Level 1 charged a cover and provided gear for the raffle. The movie was well-received and the packed venue coupled with the oohs and aahs during the film were evidence of that. Unlike most premieres though, all of the proceeds from the raffle and admission for the event went to a good cause, (then 15-year-old) Landon McGauley from Quesnel, British Columbia. High Fives Foundation and Level 1 Productions have had a long relationship, and upon hearing the story of teenage British Columbia native Landon McGauley, High Fives reached out to Level 1 for the introduction. On July 4th of last year Landon was involved in a downhill mountain biking...

Following the aftermath of one of the deepest storms Helsinki Finland has seen in decades, we rounded up a 'dream team' of Phil 'B-Dog' Casabon, Mike Hornbeck, and Tom Wallisch along with veteran photographer Chris O'Connell for our return Scandinavian urban trip.

When we arrived in Helsinki the view was much different than the previous year's trip when we were shooting for Refresh. This time around there was almost too much snow, and the city was still recovering from the record storm the week before. Driving around town people we're seen shoveling snow off roofs and hauling large piles of snow out of the city with front-end loaders. Unlike an urban trip in North America, we didn't have the luxury of having all of the lighting equipment, generators, drop ins, winches, camera gear, etc. Thankfully with the help of our Finnish...
