Good style doesn't go out of style and we're going to go ahead and call Delorme's seg from Refresh as relevant to day as it was 3 years ago. Despite missing a lot of the season AD came out swinging during the final few months and quickly amassed a pile of the cleanest, most simple, fluid, and stylish park shots that we've ever seen- no doubles, nothing above a 720, and, well, you get the point. This part could drop in next year's Level 1 flick and still be a crowd pleaser- can't say that about many segments that were shot in 2009!

Its an annual tradition 3 years running- warm weather, slushy park features, awesome sunsets, and good times in Sun Valley, ID. Alright- we know what you're saying- how the #@%$ did someone who wasn't even a finalist walk away with the win? Well, first off, Lucas should have been a finalist, but somewhere during the process of selecting a dozen of the top vids from nearly 100 entries some signals got crossed and Lucas got the short end of the stick. Once his vid went live, it was pretty much the unanimous top choice of all the athletes in our crew, and with this year's contest being such a tough one to judge we offered up our input and handed this one over to our riders to make the final call.

It's no secret that North America stole pretty much all the good wintertime precip from Europe during the winter of 2010-11, and this year they're getting their revenge by racking up massive snowfall totals in a seemingly endless storm cycle marked only by a few blue-sky days here and there, while the winter in the US and Canada, well, leaves something to be desired.
With the tables turned, Wiley Miller, Parker White, and Chris Logan joined me for a three-week cheese/meat/bread-fueled romp across Europe. For those that recall the Champéry segment in Eye Trip, the resorts of Portes Du Soleil include over 200 lifts spread over 14 valleys, and connecting 5.2 million skiable acres (this is an exaggeration, but who's counting?), point is, there's more awesome...
This winter Moscow was blasted by the most expected movie of the year, “After Dark” by Level 1 Productions. The premier was held in the very heart of the city - the “Queen” club, located downtown, by one of the most popular among tourist places - Noviy Arbat.[nggallery id=34] Russia was waiting for the premier like a child waiting for its Christmas present. The Level 1 crew, during the filming of the Russian segment, had become like a family to the Russian freeski community. Everybody was impatient waiting for the result of the shooting.
The starting time of the premier was 21:00. It was my surprise when I arrived 2 hours early and the club was already filled with people. Everybody was chatting, discussing, and predicting what the Russian segment would be like and the whole movie...

For the second year in a row we rallied our crew and spent a week working with the allstar park staff at Alpine Meadows, CA building some of the biggest and most interesting park jumps we've seen yet. This past May we got after it with Parker White, Adam Delorme, Chris Logan, Kaya Turski, Mike Hornbeck, Alex Bellemare, and Niklas Eriksson. Enjoy!
Last January (damn, time flies!) when most of the usual US locations were warm and dry, Kyle Decker packed up the urban kit and headed North across the border with Ahmet Dadali, Mike Hornbeck, and Logan Imlach for what was one of the coldest trips on record for Level 1 - lows in the negative 30s, and highs in the, well, negative teens. Frostbite central! Undeterred by the frigid temps our crew got after it on some man-sized gaps, super tech stair trannys, and a few standard-issue rails and jibs to keep things moving.

Crowds lined up early and wrapped around the block in anticipation of what the ski community has come to look forward to as one of the biggest and best parties of the Fall season, and by all accounts, everyone got what they expected.

Kyle Decker put together his own mini-movie, "New Era," back in 2009 with a few select members of the Level 1 crew. Following the aftermath of one of the deepest storms Helsinki Finland has seen in decades, we rounded up a 'dream team' of Phil 'B-Dog' Casabon, Mike Hornbeck, and Tom Wallisch along with veteran photographer Chris O'Connell for our return Scandinavian urban trip.
When we arrived in Helsinki the view was much different than the previous year's trip when we were shooting for Refresh. This time around there was almost too much snow, and the city was still recovering from the record storm the week before. Driving around town people we're seen shoveling snow off roofs and hauling large piles of snow out of the city with front-end loaders. Every four years an elite class of athletes gather from around the world for the competitive ritual known as the Olympic Winter Games. Maybe you've heard that things are currently underway in the sleepy Canadian town of Vancouver, BC. Do not be mistaken however, because a new breed of athletes have put a different spin on an old classic in Salt Lake City- an ex-wife of Olympic sporting history, already a notch on it's belt.
